Tucked away in one of Bellevue's most charming areas, this restaurant stands out as a beacon of modern French-American cuisine, consistently delivering delightful dining experiences that attract a discerning, often repeat, clientele. * Owner and Chef Involvement: The owner, who doubles as the chef, shows a commendable dedication not only to the kitchen but also to the front of the house. This dual focus is evident in the attentive service and the finely tuned ambiance, making every visit seamless. * Consistency: Whether it's your first visit or your fiftieth, you can expect the same high level of quality in both service and cuisine, a rarity that sets this place apart from many others in the region. * Ambiance: The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between upscale and welcoming, ideal for a dinner date where a jacket and slacks wouldn't be out of place but aren't strictly necessary. This creates a comfortable yet refined dining environment. * Clientele: The patrons, often on the older side, suggest a mature, sophisticated crowd that values quality and likely contributes to the high rate of return visits. * Portions and Quality: The portions are generous without being overwhelming, allowing diners to enjoy their meal fully without feeling overindulged. A standout dish, the duck confit, is consistently on point, highlighting the chef's expertise in French cuisine. * Overall Experience: Dining here is consistently a pleasure. The combination of attentive service, a warm ambiance, and expertly prepared dishes makes this restaurant a must-visit in Bellevue for those seeking a refined yet unpretentious French-American dining experience without breaking the bank

Love this place. One of the best restaurants in Bellevue in my opinion. Old-school white linen steak place with an amazing bar if you don't want to sit at the table. Always busy so be sure to make a rezzie!

We were in the city for our anniversary and looking for something special. We decided to give Bis on Main a try because the menu offered good options. We ordered one main (Garlic Chicken - yum!), appetizer, salad, and a side to share. It was more than enough for two and fun to sample a variety dishes. We finished with dessert and coffee and left there stuffed. The servers were attentive and customer service was outstanding.

Parking - on the street was easy. Service - it was amazing. Constant follow up and food did come out fast and good. Dinner ... Fries - amazing and crunchy. The truffle mayo was a great option. Escargot - there was actually 2 in each slot and they were decent sizes. I didn't care for the small breads that came with it as it was too hard or toasted. Miso Cod - cooked to perfection and the black rice was a great compliment. Bolognese - great tasting and the noodles were perfectly cooked. All in all, I'd go back. Bonus the owner is from Hawaii!
